Route 2009

... and back again.

24 / 08 / 2010 Yellow, Texas

Road Motels in America are another facility though for the bigger convenience of car drivers. They allow to park the car in front of the room, only four or five steps from the seat to the bed.

Nevertheless, the great advancement for me of this kind of lodging, completely inexistent in Europe, is that I can enter the room with my bike. It makes unnecessary to look it outdoors and allows me to reach all my study easily. Moreover, it is so sweet to sleep with my travel partner close to me, within reach of my sight, comfortably placed behind the bed... Sometimes, when the receptionist ask me how many people are coming to the Motel I am tempted to answer 'My Jamis and me only'.

... for two days I had been resting in one of these Motels at Amarillo to get over my left knee which was in pain but it did not work. I was not confident in my knee and I did not enjoy the trip as much as the last year - the West is too tough- so I decided to come back to OKC where I have to face others challenges.

Maybe I will let you know in this or other blog.

I’m confident you’ll return to this trip at some point, in some form. I suspect that your very blood-corpuscles have two wheels each! 🙂
